Terms of service
Draft pending review by legal counsel. Last updated: October 2026.
In an emergency call 112 or your local emergency number right away.
1. The service
Vigla is an app that uses the sensors of an Android phone to detect possible falls and alert chosen contacts, with location, via push notification, SMS, voice call and email.
2. What Vigla is not
- It is not a medical device and gives no diagnosis or medical advice.
- It does not guarantee that every fall is detected, nor that alerts are delivered or read in time.
- It never calls 112 or other emergency numbers automatically.
- It does not replace care, treatment or human supervision.
3. Requirements
Monitoring works only on Android phones that are switched on, with battery, connectivity, permissions and settings configured correctly (see the support page). Family members may use Android or iPhone.
4. Consents and user responsibilities
- Enable monitoring only with the consent of the person concerned or their lawful representative.
- Keep alert contacts up to date and check periodically that monitoring is running.
- Do not use the service to monitor people without their consent.
5. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Vigla is not liable for damage arising from missed or delayed detection or delivery of an alert, including due to external factors (network, battery, phone settings, third-party providers). Mandatory consumer rights are unaffected. [Clause to be validated]
6. Account, suspension, changes
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend access in case of unlawful use. We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes.
7. Governing law
Italian law; consumers keep the protections of their country of residence. [Jurisdiction: to be completed]
